The Myfordboy Steam Roller Model

The project started as an idea to make a double acting engine to replace the single acting one fitted to Mamod Traction Engines and Rollers.

The engine was a great sucess so I decided to carry on and make my own version of the Mamod engines, re-engineered but still keeping the design simple.

This will have a copper silver soldered boiler, geared drive to the rear rolls and a more realist appearance.

To keep in the Mamod theme and give me the scale, the stainless steel firebox was a purchaced item, everything else will be made from scratch.

There will be castings for the flywheel, front and rear rolls and the headstock.

( the front of the engine that carries the rolls and chimney).

I now have detailed plans for the engine (not the complete roller) and can offer these free of charge.

If you would like a set please email me at myfordboy@gmail.com

.

I will add more to this page as construction continues.

Below are the castings I made for this model.
