Included in the kit are:

25 laser cut parts 

4 miniature ball bearings

2 3D printed parts

Part formed connecting rods. 

Displacer rod.

Displacer bush

3 precut crankshaft rods

Diaphragm material

Everything you need except 2 cans and adhesive and a Tea light to power it.


Laser cut parts

The engine was designed to use Heinz small bean or spaghetti hoops cans which are easily obtainable here in the UK. Larger cans usualy have corragated sides and rounded corners and so the they can be stacked so are not suitable.

Only the bottom part of the can is used. Most cans have a ring pull top. It is possible to use the top of a ring pull can if you don't mind leavig the pull in place.

The specification for suitable cans is:

Inside the rim should be 72mm and the outside diameter of the body of the can should be 73mm aprox.

There needs to be an uncorragated side of at least 17mm.
